This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and preparation of medical instruments and equipment. The technician will follow established procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment for surgical and other medical procedures. The position requires adherence to strict infection control standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain sterilization equipment.
- Prepare and package instruments for sterilization.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of sterilization processes.
- Follow established infection control protocols.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or Certified Biomedical Sterile Processing Department (CBSPD) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of various sterilization methods and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Special Considerations:
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility.
Scheduling:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
