Senior Real Estate Asset Manager Location Los Angeles, CA :

Job Summary:

Bessemer Trust manages and provides advisory services to its clients for all types and classes of real estate assets held individually and in a fiduciary capacity nationwide. Our clients rely upon us as the industry leader in wealth management to provide highly customized solutions in a confidential setting to achieve their investment goals. We seek a real estate asset manager who will report directly to and support the Head of Real Estate Advisory. As fiduciary, we manage family homes and real estate investments in all real estate asset classes, accounting for its unique capital demands, to accomplish a family's specific aims over generations. This position will be based in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of a portfolio of assets in any asset class which may include residential single family homes, apartments, retail, industrial, office, net leased assets, ranches, timber and vacant land.
  • Work with clients/co-fiduciaries on the purchase and sale of real property including conducting market due diligence, employment of real estate brokers and attorneys, establish pricing negotiation of relevant documents and administration through closing.
  • Oversee capital improvement and repair projects including recommendation and oversight of relevant professionals and vendors to budget, oversee and complete projects.
  • Asset management of commercial investments including working with third party partners and property managers to ensure their direction and represent our clients' interests as fiduciary or advisor.
  • Negotiate Lease agreements with residential and commercial tenants and monitor compliance with Lease terms including rent, escalations, options and insurance tenant and landlord obligations.
  • Work closely with Operations team to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, policy, and efficiency in departmental transactions.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years of related real estate experience, including direct responsibility for asset management of properties or interests in property held in entities and oversight of capital transactions sales and acquisitions.
  • Institutional asset management experience and/or property management experience with exposure to a broad range of property types.
  • Knowledge of transaction process for and underwriting including experience with the underwriting of transactions, valuation, and financing of residential and commercial real estate.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft suite; experience with Yardi, and Argus a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Successful candidate must be results driven and a motivated self-starter.
  • Fiduciary experience a plus
  • Travel required as needed

The base salary range for this position is $190K - $220K. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
