Umbrage Product Associate Crafters have experiences, attitudes, and aptitudes that include: Product
  • You are familiar with the lifecycle of a software product from inception and ideation to design and development.
  • You have some experience facilitating workshop activities.
  • You have the communication skills to collaborate with designers and developers and convey the business challenges of our clients.
  • You are committed to learning and later leading Agile/Scrum software development activities.
  • You have the analysis skills to translate user interface designs and technical requirements into
well written user stories and can explain those user stories to others.
  • You strive continuously to strengthen and expand your knowledge of product management best practices.
Project
  • You participate in studio project teams consisting of designers, developers, testers, and other project team members.
  • You are timely and thorough in articulating and documenting your contributions to a project.

  • You demonstrate the ability to assess the status of a software project and the initiative to work with others to figure out how to move the project forward.
  • You demonstrate the ability to identify risks to project delivery as they arise.
  • You are comfortable onboarding new team members to a project and helping them get up to speed.
  • You are familiar with managing scope, budget, requirements, timeline, project deliverables, and other nuances of project delivery.
  • You are confident in providing project updates on a regular basis to our studio leadership team.
Client
  • You set an example for others in your interactions with clients which are professional, respectful, and confident.
  • You develop working relationships with your clients and you foster effective communication between client stakeholders and Umbrage team members.
  • You can identify ways to support both the studio’s best interests and the client’s best interests in our joint endeavor.
  • You demonstrate the aptitude for good account management skills, including communicating with clients and managing expectations.
  • You prepare status reports and other client materials for senior team members.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
