Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst on the PRT Installation team, you will lead the setup, analysis, and reconciliation of complex participant data for group annuity contracts. You’ll ensure benefit accuracy, support system implementation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless client onboarding experience. This role combines technical precision with operational execution to help transform pension promises into secure retirement outcomes.
What You'll Do:
• Lead the installation, setup, and maintenance of participant databases for single premium group annuity contracts, while conducting client meetings to communicate progress, address data issues, and align on project objectives 
• Analyze and reconcile large, complex participant datasets using internal systems and Excel to ensure accuracy across actuarial, pricing, and policy systems. 
• Calculate nonstandard items, which include lump sum illustrations, benefit split calculations for Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, and premium due or refund for participant census changes. 
• Convert participant-level census data into a consistent format for use in pricing models. 
• Act as a resource for the interpretation of group annuity contract provisions and related benefit quotations. 
• Collaborate with business teams, actuaries, and IT — ensuring system integrity during installations and conversions. 
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or improve data and calculation workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency. 
• Partner with pricing, operations, and client teams to deliver accurate, high-quality installations for large institutional clients. 
• Provide support and assistance to Customer Service team in responding to inquiries from participants, financial institutions, and clients to ensure a high level of service excellence. 
• Provide responses to technical questions related to the claims and death processing and other functions for the PRT block of business. 
• Understand and stay current with operational procedures. 
• Participate in continuous improvement projects, testing initiatives, and process reengineering efforts that directly impact client outcomes. 
 
• Bachelor’s Degree required; strong analytical and quantitative aptitude. 
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, actuarial support, or financial operations — or a strong quantitative background with demonstrated problem-solving skills. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with various internal/external clients and teams at different levels. 
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work as a member of a close-knit team. 
• Knowledge of, or a desire to learn, the provisions of group annuity contracts and ability to interpret them and perform related mathematical calculations. 
• Accountable, ethical, good decision-making ability. 
• Proficiency with Excel and data reconciliation required; familiarity with programming or database tools (SQL, Python, or similar) a plus. 
• Experience with defined benefit pension plans a plus. 
• Display an interest in understanding how pension promises are transformed into secure lifetime income.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
