Job Description
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator/Contracts Manager to independently manage the full contract lifecycle for a high-volume, template-driven environment. This role focuses on negotiating and drafting standard agreements, reviewing vendor edits, and acting as the first line of review to streamline contract execution.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts using 20-25 standardized templates.
+ Act as the first line of defense on redlines from vendors; triage and reduce changes before escalating.
+ Coordinate contract execution through internal workflows with procurement and leadership.
+ Ensure compliance with contract terms, indemnification clauses, insurance requirements, and other risk-mitigating provisions.
+ Shepherd contracts through internal processes until leadership intervention is needed.
+ Maintain strong relationships with long-standing vendors, most of whom are repeat or legacy partners.
+ Deliver on execution promises where others have failed - reliability and follow-through are key.
+ Manage 100s of contracts annually, including: MSAs, Construction & Repair Contracts, Vendor Contracts for goods & services (with warranties), Employment Agreements & NDAs
What We're Looking For:
+ 5+ years of experience in contract administration (dealing with commercial contracts) or legal operations,
+ Strong working knowledge of contract terms, indemnity, insurance provisions, and working with template agreements.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, judgment, and ability to triage and prioritize edits from vendors.
+ Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight and drive contracts to closure.
+ Experience working in a high-volume, template-based contracting environment.
+ Reliable, organized, and a proactive problem-solver.
This is not a role for someone looking to reinvent the wheel - but for someone who can make the existing machine work efficiently and reliably. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the business continues operating smoothly with strong vendor relationships and contract compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing corporate contracts independently, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of contract structures, administration, and negotiation processes.
- Ability to assess and approve acceptable edits without unnecessary escalation.
- Proven ability to communicate confidently and negotiate directly with vendors.
- Expertise in contract management tools and practices, including the use of templates.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement best practices.
- Comfortable working onsite in South Gate, California for the duration of the contract.
- Background in commercial contracts, corporate procurement, and contract administration.
